Who are Newham LGBT Seniors?
Newham LGBT Seniors was started in early 2022 in support of the Borough of Newham’s Ageing Well policy in order to identify the issues facing later life LGBTQ+ in the borough, as they are for the most part under the radar. It became East London LGBT Seniors as it grew and attracted members across London.

Newham LGBT Seniors has established itself as a coffee and chat group in Stratford Library
It has begun to develop a Literature Project which further identifies later life issues for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer people
It is looking for younger volunteers who can support the work of Newham LGBT Seniors.
We are actively looking at strengthening our links with other LGBTQ+ groups in the borough of Newham, and working with other partners so that we can bid for funds in the future to strengthen the impact of LGBTQ+ work in the borough.
